BlazBlue

Inside Bang's Head:

I am Bang Shishigami and I will destroy all oppo--- whoa, what is that? That smile is creepy. And that stance? Why is she swaying like that? She? I think it’s a she. She sounds like a she. Does she ever stop smiling? And those claws. Weird. No matter, she will --- what is she doing? She continues to scratch my leg as if she’s attacking a mouse. Does she ever shut up. Every other attack she does is part of a conversation. How does she even talk while smiling like that? I should be throwing more shuriken. It’s a good thing I’m not a shitty ninja like that Chipp guy or else these combos might have killed me. Like, a long time ago. She’s STILL talking. I should be throwing more shuriken. I wonder what she looks like under that hood. Is she wearing a mask with a smile? How is it so dark? Bitch crazy. All these slashes. That’s a lot of --- why am I not throwing more shuriken? I should throw more shuriken. Damn, I lost. Is shuriken plural or should it be shurikens? Shurikens sounds weird.

Blazblue, Arc Systems latest fighter, is shipping June 30th. Looking to continue the tradition set by the Guilty Gear series, Blazblue is home of the chaotic gameplay and bizarre characters that the developer is known for. Want to play as a small boy (or girl) that uses a puppet as his (or her) weapon? Ever think that the Shy Guys from Super Mario Bros. 2 would make an excellent addition to a fighting game series? Then you’re likely to feel right at home when you boot Blazblue up. But forget all of that. You want to know why you should play Blazblue. Because it has a ninja that doesn’t take damage like an electronic device submerged in water. You know what this means? It means you’re going to lose to me, Skillzilla, aka Skilletor, aka Ferg’s the Word. I’ve been reading the boards. I’ve seen all these ninja fans come lately talk about how DOPE Bang looks. Yeah, he does look dope. Just like EVERY ninja does. The difference? This one is winning. Bandwagon ninja fans should be ashamed.

Who cares that the home version has a story mode that lasts for 30 hours (over all the characters) or that they’ve given every character an Astral Finish (think GG’s one hit Kills) where the arcade only had them for a few characters. You like online play and lobbies, well now all of your friends can watch as you lose to my Bang. Hell, you can even save the replay in order to try and figure out where the match went so dreadfully wrong. None of that will help, but it’s nice to want things.

Maybe you should hit up these youtube spots:

Emillll's Channel

Arcade Infinity

Geesendou's Channel

And because I'm such a nice guy, here are some simple combos for to be learning:

If you're confused after watching those vids, I know I was, mosey on over to our thread on the EFL forums where True_Tech has been kind enough to compile a glossary of terms. Feel free to join in on the discussion, too.

To quote my good friend Halfro:  HYPEHYPEHYPE!

Also, BANGBANGBANG!

P.S.  Shuriken.
